We are thrilled to start the European mainland phase of the most extensive arc flash study rollout across Europe, which will span five years for global packaging leaders, Amcor. This project aims to deliver the highest level of electrical safety data for anyone working at an Amcor facility.
Engineers from MET Group Power Systems visited sites in Kutenholz and Lohne, Germany, to gather data from the high-voltage and low-voltage electrical infrastructure. This data is then entered into the Etap software and sent back to MET’s design team based in our Plymouth Office to develop the arc flash studies.
Despite potential operational and logistical challenges, the project and design management team in Plymouth, the administrative support from the team in Manchester, and the MET field engineers' experience and adaptability ensured the entire process was carried out professionally. We are very proud of this team accomplishment.
We have also gained substantial support from Etap UK & USA, who have tailored software specifically for the program. Additionally, the Amcor site staff and our client's engineering management in the USA have been highly knowledgeable, accommodating, and actively engaged throughout the entire process.
At MET, we take pride in participating in Europe's largest arc flash study program.
Italy is the next destination.
