DIAGNOSTIC TECHNOLOGIES
NON-INTRUSIVE ENERGISED TESTING
Electrical problems do not always give obvious warning signs. Some create heat, some produce ultrasonic activity, while others appear as abnormal electrical behaviour within the power system.
MET Group combines three powerful diagnostic technologies to assess critical electrical assets while they remain energised:

THERMAL IMAGING
Advanced infrared surveys identify abnormal heating, overloaded components, deteriorating connections and unusual temperature patterns across switchgear, busbars, ACBs, MCCBs, distribution boards and electrical connections.

MET GROUP SONIC TRACE
Our ultrasonic condition-monitoring service helps uncover hidden electrical activity that may not yet be visible or producing significant heat, including arcing, tracking, corona and other abnormal ultrasonic signatures.
This provides another layer of condition monitoring where intrusive access or shutdowns are not immediately possible.

POWER QUALITY ANLYSIS
Power quality monitoring looks deeper into how the electrical system is actually performing.
MET Group can analyse voltage, current, load profile, harmonics, neutral loading, imbalance, power factor and other electrical characteristics, helping identify problems that conventional inspection simply cannot see.
LONG-TERM ASSET MANAGEMENT
ONE SURVEY. THREE VIEWS OF YOUR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.
By combining Thermal Imaging + Sonic Trace + Power Quality Analysis, MET Group can investigate electrical assets from three different perspectives and correlate the findings.
More importantly, repeat surveys allow us to trend results over time, identifying assets that are stable and highlighting those showing signs of deterioration.

No Shutdown? No Problem.
Where critical supplies cannot easily be isolated, energised condition monitoring can provide valuable information without intrusive access to live conductors, helping clients understand asset condition and prioritise future shutdown maintenance.
